Frequently Asked Questions for Family Sessions
The light is best for photo sessions one to two hours before sunset, or during the first few hours of the morning.
If you have small children, morning sessions usually work best.
I am flexible with session times, so if the morning or the last couple hours of the evening don’t work for your family, just let me know and we’ll find a time that does!
Your session will include both posed and more candid/lifestyle shots. If you have a preference for one over the other, just let me know!
Yes, I travel around Cascade County and the surrounding areas. A travel fee will apply for travel to locations more than 30 minutes from Great Falls.
You’ll receive a link to an online gallery of all the best images from your session within 2 weeks.
Absolutely! Additional photos can be purchased individually, in groups of 3, or you can upgrade to the full gallery.
Of course! All photo packages include a print release, so you can print your photos wherever you like.
I can only guarantee photo quality & color balance for photos printed through my professional lab as consumer labs like Walgreens often alter the color balance.
I recommend mini sessions for families with kids 4 & up who only want a few photos. Smaller children can take a little longer to warm up to being photographed and often benefit from a longer session time.
**If a mini session fits your budget but you’d like a little extra time, you can add an additional 15 minutes of time to your session for $35 (paid in advance). If additional time is requested during the photo session, pricing is $50 per 15 minutes.

You’ll receive a link to an online gallery of all the best images from your session, lightly edited, within 2 weeks.
From your gallery you can select your favorites & purchase your photo collection.
The photos you choose will receive a final edit and be available for you to download within 7 days.
The best time for your maternity session is when you’re between 30 & 35 weeks pregnant, to ensure that your baby bump is big enough to show off.
Maternity sessions can also be done earlier or later in pregnancy. I do recommend that they be done before 37-38 weeks, just in case your baby decides to make an early arrival!
No, but I encourage you to include items that are special to you, such as a sign with baby’s name or favorite books, toys, blankets, or outfits.
You’re welcome to bring things that are related to your baby for your maternity session! Ultrasound pictures, a onesie, or tiny baby booties are favorite props.
No. I do lifestyle newborn photography, which uses your home as the backdrop and focuses on capturing the natural interactions between your new baby and your family, and your sweet little one’s natural beauty.
The light is best for outdoor photo locations 1-2 hours before sunset, or during the first few hours of the morning.
If you have small children, they usually are at their best in the morning.

Newborn sessions are scheduled between 9 am & noon as babies tend to be the most sleepy and content during the morning.
My newborn sessions are relaxed, and there’s always plenty of time for feedings, changings, and all the cuddles baby needs!
